2 Peter 1:3-4
[Christ] has granted to us from his divine power
all things having to do with life and piety, through his knowledge, who called
us to his own glory and might, through which he has given to us excellent and precious promises:
that through these you might be made partakers of the divine nature: fleeing
that which is in the world because of the corruption of concupiscence.

3 Quomodo omnia nobis divinae virtutis suae ad
vitam et pietatem donatae per cognitionem eius, qui vocavit nos propria gloria
et virtute, 4 per quae pretiosa et maxima nobis promissa donata sunt, ut per
haec efficiamini divinae consortes naturae, fugientes eam, quae in mundo est in
concupiscentia, corruptionem;
