Concéde, quǽsumus, Ecclésiæ tuæ, omnípotens Deus, ut beátum Stéphanum, quem regnántem in terris propagatórem hábuit, propugnatórem habére mereátur gloriósum in cælis.
Grant to your Church, Almighty God, we beseech you, that as she
had in Stephen a king and champion on earth,
so she may be worthy to have him as a glorious protector in heaven.
