Anglo-Saxon Hymn for the Assumption: Virgin of virgins

This hymn for the Assumption and Candlemas is not found outside Anglo-Saxon England. It is assigned in some manuscripts for None in the Hours of Our Lady. Milfull, pp. 346-347.

Maria, virgo virginum,
exaudi vota servorum ,
iugi prece nos conserva
ac te colentes adiuva.

Audemus proni rogare:
Audire nostros dignare
in tuo melos honore
ac pro nobis intercede.

Iuncta choris angelicis,
nos salva patrociniis,
ut perpetim cum civibus
gaudeamus celestibus.

Gloria tibi, domine,
qui natus es

O Mary, Virgin of virgins, hear the prayers of your servants, preserve us by your perpetual prayer and come to the aid of those who celebrate you. On bended knee we are bold to pray: vouchsafe to hear our sweet hymns in your honor and intercede for us.  Joined to the angelic choirs, save us by your patronage,  that we may forever rejoice with the citizens of heaven.
