Canticum: Benedictus {Antiphona ex Proprio
Sanctorum}
Ant. Euge, serve bone * et fidélis, quia in pauca
fuísti fidélis, supra multa te constítuam, intra in gáudium Dómini tui.
Canticum: Benedictus {Antiphon from the Proper of Saints}
Ant. Well done, thou good and faithful servant; *
thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many
things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
Adésto, Dómine, supplicatiónibus nostris, quas in beáti Nicolái Confessóris tui solemnitáte deférimus: ut, qui nostræ iustítiæ fidúciam non habémus, eius qui tibi plácuit, précibus adiuvémur.
O Lord, mercifully hear the supplications, which we offer unto thee on this solemn feast day of thy blessed Confessor, Nicolaus, and forasmuch as we put no trust in our own righteousness, grant that we may be helpen by his prayers who walked with thee.
Canticum: Magnificat {Antiphona ex Proprio
Sanctorum}
Ant. Hic vir despíciens mundum * et terréna,
triúmphans, divítias cælo cóndidit ore, manu.
Canticum: Magnificat {Antiphon from the Proper of Saints}
Ant. Lo, a servant of God * who esteemed but
little things earthly. And by word and work laid him up treasure in heaven.
Collect as at Lauds
