Note on hymn "Iste, quem colimus, fideles' - Office of Readings: St. Joseph

In the third stanza, lines 3 and 4: rutilisque cingit/tempora sertis: tempora here means 'temples' as the temples of a head and so by extension 'head'-- it is plural because every head has two temples, but refers to a single head  So it should be translated 'he girded his head with shining garlands'.
