DE RESURRECTIONE DOMINI 4 Peter Abelard
Veris
grato tempore
RESURREXIT
DOMINUS!
mundus
reviviscere
cum
iam incipit,
auctorem
resurgere
mundi
decuit.
Cunctis
exultantibus,
RESURREXIT
DOMINUS!
herbis
renascentibus
frondent
arbores,
odores
ex floribus
dant
multiplices.
Transacta
iam hieme,
RESURREXIT
DOMINUS!
in
illa perpetuae
vitae
gaudia,
nullius
molestiae
quae
sunt conscia.
Qui
restauret omnia,
RESURREXIT
DOMINUS!
tamquam
ista gaudia
mundus
senserit
cum
carne dominica
iam
refloruit.
Deo
patri
In the gracious time of Spring, the Lord has
risen, when the world begins to revive, the author of the world fittingly rose
again. All things rejoice, the Lord has risen, grass is reborn, the trees put
forth leaves, scents from their flowers are multiplied. Winter now is passed,
the Lord has risen, joys in that eternal life, with no thought of trouble. He who
restores all things, the Lord has risen, as if the world senses joys, when the
Lord’s flesh flourishes again.
