Lectionis: X Saec.
O Jesus, Redeemer of all, the eternal crown of those in heaven, on
this day mercifully favor our voices, when the gracious confessor of your holy
Name the devoted people celebrate upon his yearly feast. Through the things of
this world he gently passed, ever faithful to you, going upon the road of
salvation. But rightly not giving over his heart to passing joys of the world,
with the angels he happily attained heavenly rewards. Kindly grant us to follow
in his footsteps; by his intercession forgive the harm of your servants’ sins.
Lauds: VIII Saec.

Virtúte clarus et fide,
Virtúte clarus et fide,
O Jesus, the
eternal crown, sublime truth, who grants to your humble confessor, an
everlasting reward, grant to those gathered for prayer, through his heavenly
intercession, remission of sins, the breaking of the bonds of sin. Loving
nothing vain, thus he passed his earthly life, fervent with all his soul, to please you alone. By ever confessing you, O Christ, most gracious King, he
bravely crushed under foot the enemy, pride and all its allies. Bright in
virtue and faith, steadfast in prayer, preserving sobriety of the body,
obtaining heavenly feasts.
